Dr. Hill completed both his medical degree and ophthalmology residency at St. Louis University.
Dr. Hill founded Hill Vision Services in July, 2007. Before solo practice, he was a Partner at West County Ophthalmology for many years. He was also an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and the Director of Comprehensive Ophthalmology Services at St. Louis University Eye Institute. Prior to that, Dr. Hill served in the United States Air Force for four years, attaining the rank of Major and Chief of Ophthalmology at Scott Air Force Base.
Dr. Hill is committed to service as exemplified by his examination of patients and surgeries performed on those of need both at home and abroad. These services are provided free of charge through the American Academy’s Eyecare America Program and the SSM hospital system’s indigent service. In addition, Dr. Hill has been involved in mission work and cataract surgery in both Guatemala and Peru through Surgical Eye Expeditions International.
Dr. Hill received his medical degree at Saint Louis University and completed his ophthalmology residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He has also completed a fellowship in cornea and ocular surface disease at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Hill is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
During his training, Dr. Hill has worked at two of the largest county hospitals in the country in Cook County Hospital and Parkland Hospital, and he has done medical volunteer work in Guatemala and Kenya.
His areas of interest include the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, specialty contact lens fitting, dry eye treatment and family vision care. He enjoys offering comprehensive vision services to his patients from glasses and contact lenses to LASIK and premium intraocular implants. He is a member of the St. Louis Optometric Society, Missouri Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
