What is a Cataract?
Before we talk about cataract surgery, let us define what a cataract is. A cataract is a clouding of the lens in the eye. Cataracts develop slowly in some people and very quickly in others. It is not possible to predict how quickly a cataract will develop from person to person, although most age related cataracts progress gradually over a period of years. At some point, a person will note that the vision changes secondary to cataract affect their daily lifestyle.
