A femtosecond laser is used to perform key steps of the surgery with exact measurement and precision for the greatest surgical outcomes we’ve ever seen in cataract surgery.

With this technology, Dr. Hill is able to create a precise surgical plan for each patient. The Femtosecond laser performs specific, surgeon-guided steps throughout the procedure, allowing for greater accuracy. The Femtosecond laser procedure is a blade-less procedure, and can also be programmed to treat corneal astigmatism.

Femtosecond Laser-assisted Cataract Surgery costs more than conventional surgery. At this time the additional fee associated is not covered by insurance so patients can expect an out of pocket expense if they opt for this technology.
